Payment
Fees for counselling services are payable at the end of each session. Fees are covered by some Employee Assistance programs and health insurance policies and are also considered a tax deductible medical expense.
Your extended health insurance policy is a private contract between your company and yourself, not between your company and the mental health practitioner. Therefore, reimbursement is the sole responsibility of the client and cannot be guaranteed as it largely depends upon what your insurance policy is willing to cover based on what your company negotiated for its employees. It is the responsibility of the client to check with their benefit providers prior to scheduling an appointment to ensure counselling reimbursements will be covered. Essentially, clients must pay for counselling services and then be reimbursed by their companies. Appropriate receipts are provided so that clients can claim for their reimbursement.
Payment is expected at the end of each session. You may pay by means of e-transfer or by credit card (which can easily be set up when you register in noustalk.)
Exceptions are: NIHB (Non-Insured Health Benefits funding) and VAC (Veterans Affairs Canada) who have specific contracts with us. Fees are not required at the time of service provision for services under these specific programs.
